Dear Lake Association/Community Members:

Just a quick reminder that there will be an We will be discussing a possible program used to deter invasive plant life from entering our chain of lakes. Currently, our Board is researching a potential I-Lid monitoring system, which will verbally alert boaters before they launch their boats to check for invasive vegetation that might be attached to their boat or trailer. The I-Lid system is solar-powered and has the capacity to take a video of every boat that is launched into the water. Our Board is interested in hearing your thoughts about this program, as well as any other thoughts, questions, or concerns you have about our chain of lakes.

I also want to remind you that elections for Board members will take place at our Six Board member positions are up for re-election, and five incumbent members have decided to run for another 2-year term. There will be one at-large Board position that needs to be filled. If you are interested in running for that position, please call or text our Board President, Mike Ida, at (262) 325-6136 or email him at [email protected] for more information.

Two final thoughts. Our Board is interested in partnering with Walleyes For Tomorrow to harvest walleye eggs and milk from our lakes during the spawning season. The eggs and milk will be used to produce walleye fry, which are then put back into our lakes to grow. This partnership might happen in the spring of 2027. The project is labor-intensive and requires about 15 volunteers to show up every night for two weeks to help net fish and harvest their eggs or milk. If this is something you might like to participate in next spring, please contact either our Board President or our fishery chairperson, DaveโฃEbert. This potential project will only be pursued if we know we have enough volunteers to work during these two weeks.
